Community, individual fates and the power of music: Anna Katharina Hahn read from her novel "Der Chor"
On April 1, 2025, the Eisenbibliothek in Schlatt had the pleasure of welcoming the renowned German author Anna Katharina Hahn. Following a public tour of the Eisenbibliothek, around 80 visitors gathered at Klostergut Paradies to enjoy a reading. As part of the literary festival "Erzählzeit ohne Grenzen", Anna Katharina Hahn read from her novel "Der Chor". This marked the eighth time that the Klostergut Paradies hosted an event as part of the Erzählzeit.
With a vibrant voice and a keen sense for linguistic nuances, Hahn read selected passages that deeply moved the audience. Her novel "Der Chor" explores themes of community, individual fates, and the power of music. The multifaceted characters and atmospheric descriptions inspired reflection.
After the reading, an engaging discussion followed, during which the author answered questions about the creation of her book and her literary inspirations. Her perspective on social developments and human relationships was particularly impressive.
The evening concluded with a reception in the Klostergut's refectory, generously provided by GF. A successful event for literature enthusiasts and another highlight in the "Erzählzeit ohne Grenzen" program.
