The foundation charter of 1948 already mentions the promotion of research as one of the primary tasks of the Iron Library. The Scholar in Residence Programme, which was established in 2015, follows this tradition. Every year, it enables several researchers from all over the world to intensively study the holdings of the library and the archives - in the unique atmosphere of the Klostergut Paradies.
In order to present the broad spectrum of research projects and our collections, we ask our scholars to choose their favorite book at the end of their stay. In our series, they take turns with employees and friends of the Iron Library and the Corporate Archives.
